Atera doesn’t have the biggest team or the largest marketing budget in their space, but they have identified organic search as a channel where they can compete.

 

After working with multiple link building vendors — and experiencing some poor results — Atera came to ArunSEO because of our reputation, as well as the fact that we could support content creation for them. 

 

Atera initially signed on for a three month trial contract, but extended to six months, and then a full 12 month campaign after seeing the quality of the links we delivered and our investment into learning about their industry.

Atera wanted to grow organic traffic and increase the amount of new visitors to their site, and one of the chief ways we achieved these goals was by improving search rankings for relevant transactional keywords. To improve transactional keyword rankings, Arun Kumar helped Atera create linkable resources, which internally linked to Atera’s key converting pages.


Arun Kumar has helped Atera create content that earns relevant links and drives keyword ranking improvements across the site, as well as captures organic traffic to Atera’s blog. Atera’s blog has existed since 2015 with ~80 indexed pages, but within only four months of publishing content, P1P-created content accounted for 8% of monthly organic blog traffic — and traffic wasn’t even the primary goal for this content, as it was created to earn links, which it also did (20 links). This project highlights the power of simultaneous investments into content creation and link building.

STRATEGY

One of the primary reasons Atera’s campaign was so successful is Arun kumar was given time — and put in the effort necessary — to learn about the industry Atera operates in. This research led to better, more authoritative content and a deeper understanding of which links would deliver the most impact.


Arun kumar developed an understanding of Atera’s industry through extensive keyword research and competitive analysis. This understanding empowered Arun kumar to create relevant, linkable content that fueled link acquisition and increased search rankings.

CHALLENGES

1. Atera is one of the smaller (in terms of size and budget) and newer players in the space.
2. Atera operates within a highly technical space, which involved a bit of a learning curve and required an upfront investment into education for ArunSEO employees working on the campaign.
